Verbal 700 an advanced course, appropriate for students aiming for a top-ten MBA program and needing a 700+ overall score. Please note: this is NOT an introductory course of GMAT English: we WILL assume that you are already familiar with basic SC, CR, and RC procedures, as taught in Verbal 600.
This course meets twice each week, for two consecutive weeks. For up-to-date scheduling, see here.
We cover the AWA and IR sections, as well as more difficult text structures from RC, logic models from CR, and high-level eliminations in SC. This course is designed for students who want to impress an admissions officer at INSEAD and LBS, where 700 is now just the cutoff minimum.
THE DOJO DIFFERENCE
Verbal 700 is the only GMAT course in the Netherlands to target only the topics tested at the 700 level. Other course-providers mix every demographic into the same room. This is a misguided and unfortunate practice, and it can only be explained by the profit in it. When I emigrated to the United States, I was put in a class with 5th, 6th, and 7th grade children. Our teacher taught for ten minutes to the right side of the room, for ten minutes to the middle, and then for ten to the left. Then she went to the back and taught me to count. That was the public education in Los Angeles in 1989, and it was actually better than what my competition is doing in GMAT today. My old teacher was under-resourced, yet even she never delivered the same lesson to every student.
